Can I use a Premium aftermarket domain as soon as I pay 101domain?
The short answer
Not necessarily. Payment starts the purchase, but the seller’s domain still has to be transferred into your account. Account checks, the domain’s status and registry requirements can affect delivery. Base a launch date on completed handover, not the checkout receipt.
In more detail
101domain handles aftermarket purchases through Afternic and Sedo. Eligible names can use Fast Transfer; others need a standard transfer with manual coordination. Account verification and transfer restrictions may delay completion, so get the delivery process for the exact domain before committing to an advertising or launch date.
Keep a temporary address available while the purchase completes. Once the domain arrives, check that you can manage its settings, configure DNS, and test the website and email. The purchase price and future renewal charges are also separate items to check.
First establish whether the name is a new registration or a domain being sold by its current owner. A Premium label alone does not tell you which transaction you are making; the handover process described here applies to aftermarket purchases.
