Does a BandwagonHost ECOMMERCE SLA plan eliminate downtime risk?

The short answer

No. The SLA defines eligible infrastructure availability and service credits for qualifying plans. It does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of your application or reimburse every business loss; the remedy is additional prepaid service time.

In more detail

BandwagonHost's SLA applies to plans explicitly sold with that coverage. It measures the provider's qualifying infrastructure availability, includes exclusions, and requires a credit request. The credit extends prepaid service on the affected VPS; it is not a cash replacement for lost sales.

For a shop, booking system or customer portal, first estimate the operational effect of an interruption. Can orders wait, can staff work manually, and who receives an alert? Those answers are more useful for selecting a service than reading an availability percentage in isolation.

Our recommendation is to separate contractual compensation from continuity design. An SLA does not itself make your database redundant, repair faulty application releases, or keep external payment services available. Decide how quickly you need to recover and whether your architecture can meet that objective before comparing the price of SLA and ordinary plans.

If you choose an ECOMMERCE SLA package, retain incident timestamps and monitoring records and read the current claim procedure. Also identify which failures your own team must handle. That preparation makes the coverage usable without treating it as insurance against every possible outage.
