Is DreamHost suitable if my team is used to cPanel?

The short answer

It can be, but DreamHost uses its own control panel rather than cPanel. Check your team’s required tasks and automation integrations before choosing Web Hosting Launch or Growth; familiar hosting features do not imply identical menus or APIs.

In more detail

DreamHost's documentation says cPanel is unavailable and its custom panel manages websites, databases, email and billing instead. It also describes cPanel archive imports as a manual process. A team should not buy the service assuming a cPanel login or direct compatibility with every existing cPanel-based procedure.

Our recommendation is to write down the recurring tasks your staff actually performs: adding a site, creating a database, changing DNS, managing mail and checking usage. Match each task to the DreamHost panel documentation. If a contractor, billing system or deployment script depends on a cPanel-specific interface, establish an alternative before committing to the hosting term.

Judge the change by training effort and operational fit rather than the panel's name alone. A team managing a few conventional websites may adapt easily, while a tightly automated workflow needs more preparation. Assign someone to update internal instructions and verify account permissions. Keep the decision focused on whether routine work remains practical; a different panel is neither proof of missing hosting capabilities nor a guarantee that your existing automation will work unchanged.
